The keyboard is just like in the reviews you'll find for it on YouTube. Sounds amazing out of the box and is an absolute pleasure to type on. I'm coming from a Deriya DK61 with optical Gateron brown switches, and this is a night and day difference in terms of quality and experience. Each key press has a soft marble-like sound to it, with no rattling or ticking to be heard. The video recording using my phone mic doesn't do it justice. This is a perfect buy if you are looking to upgrade to a "custom" keyboard and don't want to deal with having to mod the keyboard yourself. The actual model of the keyboard is a "Xinmeng M71".The keyboard comes with some extra keycaps in the box (different color spacebar, backspace, enter key, other key caps for switches not present on the board such as numpad, function keys, look on YouTube or other websites to see the full package contents), as well as a basic keycap/switch puller and a USB-C cable. One gripe, the USB-C cable it comes with isn't very good. The cable is not braided and has a straight connector. A right-angle connector would have been nicer, at least for my desk setup. I used the right-angle cable from my other board here. The 2.4 GHz wireless USB connection seems to work very well, I haven't seen any hiccups in connection so far.The full aluminum body is awesome, giving the keyboard a hefty weight to it that I haven't experienced before. I would say it's not really portable due to the weight. The aluminum does have a finish to it that feels a bit powdery, something that I'm sure could wash off. I heard others with the black/white model mention that rubbing your fingers on it leaves streak marks (that come off), but I don't experience this with the lavender color I got.The switches are factory lubed Outemu White Jade linear; they feel very smooth and responsive. Coming from brown tactile switches, and having used linear before, I missed the smooth buttery feel that linear switches provide. I don't have much experience with different switches in general, but these feel GREAT to use.The keycaps are really nice too, double shot PBT and lovely colors. I will say that I noticed a couple of the keycaps are ever so slightly different from the rest. Those ones are single shot, with a fraction of a shade of color difference in the key, and having a keycap stem that's about half a millimeter longer than the others. This results in the key sitting ever so slightly higher up than the others, but is not noticeable unless you look for it specifically. The menu key on the bottom row is affected by this (see picture). The software for the keyboard can be found online with some googling around and has basic features like allowing you adjust the auto-sleep timer on the board, program macros, set custom key assignments, and add a custom color option to the lighting effects. Custom lighting animations, however, cannot be created. Only through the software can you access different light reaction modes where the backlight acts as a music visualizer for sounds playing through your PC, although the responsiveness and effect is generally lackluster.Overall, I love this keyboard and recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade their current set up, especially if they want to get something that sounds and performs amazing right out of the box.Note: in my pictures and video, the keyboard is shown with some light blue and pink colored key caps that I added separately.
